Many brides love flowers and take pleasure in planning the flowers for their
wedding rite and reception.
Fresh and healthy flowers actually make an attractive and polished
atmosphere both for the marriage rite and reception.
All those brides and grooms who have gardening and horticultural data will
be in a position to utilise their experiences when it comes to deciding upon
which flowers and floral designs you want for your special day.
I myself have been gardening for 15 years and have experience working in a
flower shop, so I’ll share my private tips for picking bridal flowers.
One ) Consider the bride and the groom’s favourite flowers and colours.
two ) Consider the appearance, size, shape, color and perfume of the
flowers.
Three ) Consider purchasing flowers in season and domestically grown, as
this is less expensive and better for the environment as the flowers do not
have to be brought in from another country or state.
Four ) It is usually recommended that the bride and bridegroom make a
consultation with florists at 2 or 3 different flower shops. Come prepared
with your questions, your price bracket, and an inventory of your favourite
flowers.
Five ) Select flowers with shapes and colors that compliment the bride’s
complexion, hair color, overall appearance and marriage robe.
Six ) Choose flowers that flatter bridesmaids and their dresses, and the
groom, groomsmen and their tuxedos.
Seven ) consider the style your need to achieve :
a ) standard
b ) latest / modern
eight ) consider the time of wedding rite, marriage photographs and
marriage reception.
The goal is to have the flowers remain fresh and healthy for the event,
photos and reception. Flowers like roses need water picks to hold water and
Gerbera daisies need plenty of water to stay healthy.
9 ) Keep under consideration the positioning of your lighting and purchase
flowers to brighten and flatter the colours and lighting of the church or hall.
Ten ) consider the site of your reception and purchase flowers to brighten
the colours, furniture and lighting of the reception site.
Eleven ) Get suggestions from loved ones on the flowers they had at their
own marriages.
Twelve ) Discover ideas for floral designs in marriage mags and on bridal
sites.
Thirteen ) don’t forget to keep under consideration the price of each type of
flower. Flowers that are freely available are less expensive than more exotic
and hard-to-find flowers.
Fourteen ) think about your marriage floral wants :
* for ceremony ; flowers for church pews, altar, registry table, front platform,
outside church doors, church entranceway
* for reception ; floral center-piece for each table, special centerpieces for
marriage party’s table
* bridal bouquet * bridesmaids bouquets
* groom’s boutonniere
* mother-of-the-bride and mother-of-the-groom corsages
* groomsmen’s boutonniere
* boutonniere for father-of-the-bride and father-of-the-groom
* bride’s bouquet for bouquet toss
* flower girl’s flowers
* ring bearer’s boutonniere
Enjoy planning your marriage. Take a little time to smell the roses!
